Tuttosport: Messias yet to be called-up by Pioli – when the forward is expected to debut

By Oliver Fisher -

There has been some mystery surrounding the whereabouts and condition of deadline day signing Junior Messias, but some information has emerged.

Messias was the last signing of Milan’s summer transfer market as he joined on the final day of the window from Crotone on an initial loan deal that includes an option to buy, but for now he has not yet made his debut in the Rossoneri shirt.

The Brazilian has not even been called up for any squads by head coach Stefano Pioli, causing some questions to be raised as to when the Brazilian will be in the fold.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Messias had to practically start his physical preparation from scratch when he arrived at Milanello. He is getting better and better in terms of fitness though and as per the paper he should be ready for the match against Atalanta scheduled for October 3 at 20:45 CEST in Bergamo.

  1. This is what you get if you buy a player who spend his time in small club only play once a week and now his age is 31 because in his early carrier playing mostly for amateur clubs, so we should not have high expectation for this guy but we hope miracle come and his dribble statistics are not only jokes for kids
