Ahead of this season, Milan decided to send Tommaso Pobega out on loan, ironically to Spezia. The youngster has impressed and the Rossoneri are certainly keeping an eye on the situation.
Milan agreed to include a buy-out option in favour of Spezia in the loan deal, but there is also a buy-back clause available for the Rossoneri. As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanLive), they have already made a decision on that.
Pobega will return to the club for next season as both Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are convinced of his qualities. Stefano Pioli feels his characteristics will work for the team philosophy and he’s ready to bet on the youngster.
Despite recent rumours of a loan extension or perhaps a loan elsewhere, the 21-year-old will return and wants to return to the club he grew up in. It remains to be seen if he will be able to fight for a spot in the starting XI.
