Tuttosport: Milan agree terms with the ‘new Pato’ but €10m distance blocks deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Internacional striker Yuri Alberto who has been compared with former forward Alexandre Pato, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that the Rossoneri management are searching for a new striker ahead of the January transfer market, given that there doubts about how much Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud can contribute given their injury problems already this season and their respective ages of 40 and 35.

This is where the name of Yuri Alberto has emerged, and there is talk of a verbal agreement between Milan and the ‘new Pato’ but a distance between the offer on the table of €10m and the demands of €20m, while Internacional are also protected by an €80m release clause.

Alberto has racked up 18 goals and 4 assists across 49 appearances for the Porto Allegre side, and the next step may await for him.
