Tuttosport: Milan and Bayern Munich in transfer battle for €15m-rated Frenchman

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in a transfer battle with Bayern Munich to try and land Brest star Romain Faivre before August 31, according to a report.

MilanNews gave an update on the situation earlier, and confirmed that yesterday afternoon there was a meeting at Casa Milan between the Milan management and the player’s entourage. The player immediately gave his approval to the idea of joining the Rossoneri, but now it will be necessary for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to work towards the requests of Brest.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via NotizieMilan), Milan are probing some alternatives to Jesus Corona of Porto given the cost of signing him, and one of the most popular is Brest’s Romain Faivre.

However, he is also courted by other clubs including Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. Nonetheless, the Rossoneri see him as a viable alternative to the Mexican, with an asking price of €15m set by the French side.
