Tuttosport: Milan and Torino remain in talks over Messias-Singo deal – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain in contacts with Torino over Junior Messias and Wilfried Singo as one could go one way and vice versa, a report claims.

According to a report from Tuttosport (via MilanNews) the dialogues over Singo are frequent but the Rossoneri have other priorities at the moment than the right-back role.

Meanwhile, the Granata continue to monitor Messias whose contract expiring in 2024 and has an asking price of €7m, which is almost half of what Urbano Cairo would like for the Ivorian.

Talks have been ongoing about separate deals but the paper does not rule out that the former Crotone star could become a counterpart to lower the price of Singo.

However, the directors of the two clubs will talk about things later, perhaps when Milan have addressed other problem areas and turn to the defensive department to try and complete the squad available to Stefano Pioli.

  1. Honestly I think I’d prefer 8M in cash so we could with that money and saele money be able to further fund a better ST

    1. Who will pay that money? The amount is a joke. Torino could have signed Vlasic for 10M, and it was a reduced price from the loan option they had. And they offered 7M and said they can’t give more. Now they will pay 7-8M for 32 year old Messias with 1 year left on his contract. They won’t give 5M for him.

  2. This is such a pointless move. Use the trade value of Messias + cash to go towards a player like Ricci. We are covered at RB unless we offload Kalulu. really not worth it.

    1. We are covered but could do with improvement unless Florenzi comes back strong.

We don‘t seem to be interested in Ricci.

      1. It’s because he’s italian. Milan hates italians, it’s the new official stance of this supposedly italian club

  3. We still need: backup LB, maybe a CB since Gabbia will go on loan, MC x2, RW, ST

Sandro’s sale reportedly brought 64M, how can they afford all of that, plus this bonus RB, especially considering that Ruben and Pulisic did cost 42M? Rebic and Ballo-Touré won’t make much money, I’m worried that we will sell one of our assets again.

    1. CDK would be great to sell, Kalulu is probably an option too should need arise.

We did have some 35-50m budget as well, we don‘t need to finsnce the mercato 1:1 with sales.

      1. Haha I don’t want to think about it but it’s probable, he doesn’t earn much here and he was confused after M&M’s firing. He’s one of the best goalkeepers in the world, please stay Mike! Meanwhile Dollarumma could be on the bench next year because PSG seems to lose faith in him, karma is a btch.

        1. If Dollarumma is benched in PSG, who will be their starting goalkeeper? Keylor Navas? Or, they will sign a new goalkeeper?

          1. It’s unclear, there are reports that PSG is interested in Hugo Lloris but it could be for a substitute role. PSG has a new coach and Dollarumma really struggles to be consistent (PSG fans don’t like him) so reports say there could be some change.

    2. I don’t see us selling another starter as that would only leave another hole to fill. Both Calabria and Florenzi have recently had pretty substantial injuries, so more depth there might be wise. I wonder if only initial fee of the Chelsea players is considered because bonuses aren’t definite, even if they are “easily attainable”, but I have no clue. I’ve been impressed with how Milan are handling this market so far. I just hope we’re not putting a new striker on the back burner yet again, because it’s been too long since we’ve had a top player in that position, with all respect to Giroud.

      1. I think the bonuses are already considered as payed for financial projections and if it’s not reached the money comes back as some profit. Maybe someone here can tell.

I agree for the striker. Giroud is scoring but he’s also missing a lot. He played way too much last year and needs rest sometimes, that would be nice to find some good competitor for him for the starting spot.

Though my opinion differs regarding the mercato, for now I think it’s a catastrophe unless Pulisic becomes suddenly consistent and decisive.

    3. The dream is to sell all Messias, Saele, Rebic, Origi and CDK, though that dream remains very far fetched as we would need good offers to come in and I highly doubt for the mass majority of them there will be but in the hypothetical situation we got “good” offers for them if would be around the sum of 58M which would nicely improve our funds remaining

    4. No , AC Milan dont need to sell key player anymore. For striker they will use giroud ,origi ,colombo because origi reject all offer. If they sign isaksen 10m euro that will make budget for 2 DMF like reijnders & yunus / dominques. . For theo deputy , ACM will wait till ballotoure out first , for CB i think they will find cheap CB before loan gabbia

      1. They’re trying hard to get a striker these days, I don’t think they want to rely on Origi and Colombo. If Giroud goes down, we have a big problem.

And we need a backup LW as well. I’m concerned that Isaksen, Loftus-Cheek, Pulisic and Reijders are not upgrades over what we already had but let’s see.

  4. Losing Messias is losing about 10 goals per season incl assists. Just hope they replace effectively
Saele is about 7goals. Our RW produces about 17 goals per season on average. Let that sink in. They’re frustrating to watch but they do make contributions (of course not as much as the LW)

    1. I’m willing to take that risk if part of their money will help us have Pulisic, Romero and Chukwueze/Isaksen available players for the RW

    2. Yeah I agree. That’s not bad considering their role was more defensive to balance the offensive left side with Leao and Théo going forward a lot.

Messias is average usually but sometimes he reminds us that he’s Brazilian with some nice goal. The guy is a hard worker, good character, he was a good player to have to surround youngsters but it would be fine to get an upgrade of course.

      1. And if you look at the goals he has scored, he has a natural goal scorer’s instinct. He is often “cool as ice” and places an accurate but not that hard shot. Too bad his left foot is absolutely useless and couldn’t hit an open net from 2 meters away with it.

  5. If singo came I bet you by mid season he would be the natural starter. Everytime we played against him he played great and theo struggled against him.

  6. This whole deal is geared towards selling Kalulu. Remember, tapeworm said he wants to win everything? Kalulu sale will be another win for this tapeworm.

  7. 7M for Messias??? If Torino is that dumb to pay that much for a 32 year old below average winger pls sell immediately. Messias is a great story and im sure nice fellow but for 7M they can have him
