Milan are going through a tough period of the season, not because of a row of negative results, but rather the injuries struggles that never seem to end. And of course, they have one more thing to worry about: COVID-19.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), there is an axious wait at Milanello for the swabs that was carried out yesterday. That is because Matthijs De Ligt tested positive, a player they faced just three days ago.
Obviously, the hope is that all the results are negative especially since the squad available is already very decimated. Stefano Pioli canb’t afford to lose another player, currently fighting with seven absences (five injuries, two COVID).
Tonight’s game is scheduled for 20:45 CET and it will take place at San Siro once again, with the Rossoneri looking to bounce back with a win. It would certainly be important for their confidence, as losing has become a rare feeling for them.
