Tuttosport: Milan baulk at Spurs’ asking price for defender; could turn to Barcelona or PSV duo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could turn to one of two other full-back targets as Spurs continue to ask for a high price to sell Serge Aurier, a report claims.

The inconsistency of performances from Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti during the 2019-20 campaign means that Milan are firmly in the market for a new right-back this summer, with three names being constantly linked over the past couple of weeks.

According to what Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting on Wednesday, one of their targets is Tottenham’s Serge Aurier, but the north London club are continuing to ask for €23million to part with the Ivorian.

This amount is deemed too much by the Rossoneri management, and given the desperation to secure an upgrade in that position that they may at this point turn to PSV captain Denzel Dumfries (valued at around €18m) or Barcelona’s Emerson Royal, who would also be a complicated pursuit.
