Tuttosport: Milan begin work on renewal as star midfielder enters double digits

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie managed to get on the scoresheet last night with a smart finish from the inside the box, though not from the penalty spot. Once again, he highlighted just how important he is for Milan.

In our player ratings, the midfielder was voted the MOTM with a rating of 7.5/10. Not only did he help the Rossoneri by scoring the second goal (reaching ten goals in the league), but he also gave the Parma attackers a headache with his constant tracking back.

When Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s was sent off, his ability on the ball was absolutely crucial for Milan. As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini has recognised the greatness of the player and is already working on a renewal.

The current deal will expire in 2022 but the Rossoneri don’t want to be caught unprepared, like the situation of Gigio Donnarumma. A pay rise is expected, of course, but Champions League will also be an important factor for both parties.
