AC Milan believe that Raphael Onyedika is the right man to complete the midfield department and a deal is within reach economically, a report claims.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how three of Milan’s targets have now been crossed off the list as Renato Sanches went to PSG, Carney Chukwuemeka opted to join Chelsea and Douglas Luiz is one step away from a renewal with Aston Villa.
Now Milan are betting strongly on Onyedika, who is the first name on the wish list of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara as they aim to secure a replacement for Franck Kessie.
The directors believe that the Nigerian is the right profile both because of his characteristics by also because Midtjylland are asking for around €7m, which is very much within reach.
Onyedika made 48 appearances last season for the Danish club, scoring four goals, and he has already played four games this season too in the Superliga and in the Champions League qualification stage. Midtjylland have been eliminated by Benfica in that, but now the chance to play in the competition could come from Milan.
After having studied him closely for some games no, I am not at all convinced that this is the right man for Milan.
Agreed. But what choice do we have at this point with such a limited budget. As I said not much left but young raw and inexperienced players or a veteran player (like a Meite type) nobody really wants. Missing out on Sanches was a huge blow for such a low price
He is just back up like meite in past . It is low chance to success with just back up role, but yeah he is cheap
