AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has three big selection dilemmas to solve ahead of Sunday’s crucial Derby della Madonnina clash with Inter.
Pioli had a number of different selection issues to contend with in Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona as Andrea Conti, Simon Kjaer, Ismael Bennacer, Rade Krunic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all missed out.
However, he is due to welcome pretty much all of them back for Sunday’s showpiece game against the Nerazzurri at San Siro.
According to Wednesday’s edition of the newspaper Tuttosport – as cited by MilanNews.it – there are three battles currently taking place for the starting XI.
The paper claims that at present Conti is favoured over Davide Calabria at right-back, that is despite the fact that Sky are reporting he is still a doubt for the game altogether due to tonsillitis.
Meanwhile, Kjaer is ahead of Mateo Musacchio to partner Alessio Romagnoli, while Rafael Leao is on pole to join Ibrahimovic in attack over Ante Rebic.
