Tuttosport: Milan boss Pioli has clear ideas about deployment of ‘wild card’ Kalulu

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has a clear idea about how he wants to use defender Pierre Kalulu heading into the new season, a report claims.

According to a report from Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Kalulu is one of the reasons that the Rossoneri should have absolutely no problems on the right side of their defence. The young Frenchman can play as a third-choice right-back when needed given that Davide Calabria and Alessandro Florenzi are already in the squad.

Not only that, but Kalulu has also played as a centre-back at Lyon, with the French national team at the Olympics and even for Milan, so he will join Fikayo Tomori, Simon Kjaer, Alessio Romagnoli and Matteo Gabbia as an option in that department too.

In his first season at Milan, Kalulu made 13 league appearances, even scoring a goal away from home against Genoa, and Pioli has a ‘wild card’ role in mind for him again.
