Tuttosport: Milan could sign two strikers – three candidates for the back-up role

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on a deal for Joshua Zirkzee but he might not be the only striker that arrives during the upcoming summer mercato, a report claims.

With Oliver Giroud’s exit confirmed and Luka Jovic’s renewal increasingly in doubt after the news that arrived yesterday, Milan could decide to buy not one but two strikers in the summer to fully refresh the role.

If the first slot is increasingly closer to being occupied by Zirkzee, the casting process is open for the second arrival and in Geoffrey Moncada’s notebook at the moment there are three names above the others.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via Radio Rossonera) spoke about the situation, stating that Milan are also considering Armando Broja of Chelsea, Youssef En-Nesyri of Sevilla and Kevin Denkey of Cercle Bruges.

These are the three names that could join Zirkzee under the new head coach Paulo Fonseca, with official communication expected this week to confirm the appointment of the Portuguese manager.

If around €20m could be enough for Broja, for En-Nesyri the investment could be even lower given the expiry date of the contract (June 2025). Denkey meanwhile has a market value that is tough to establish after a season with 28 goals in 39 Jupiler Pro League games with Cercle.

  1. Jovic out
And from these options first one is En Nesyri then Denkey and no Broja because he’s not good.
    I’ll add Guirassy Trust Camarda.
So If they come then it’s Zirkzee En-Nesyri and Camarda

  2. News speculates that Jovic asked for sometime to think about the offer and he also want to understand his role in the new contract. so our new coach will have to talk with Jovic then that where we will know if he is staying. the management is trying to be proactive incase jovic decides to leave

    1. Its not jovic who have an option to extend. Milan have an option to extend.
Problem here is if you want to sign new contract for 3years then abviously Milan have a reason to say about his role to jovic.

If they want to wait for Fonseca, I don’t understand what’s stopping them to announce.
Most of the clubs have already announced and working on contract extensions and new recruits with new coaches.

We are still hearing about same player in 100 different posts as we are delaying to announce the new coach and abviously new players or contract extensions

  3. Keep Jovic as a back up or give Colombo a chance. Also there are cheaper Italian strikers who are better then the ones we are looking at. Like Lucca from Udine or Pinamonti from Sassuolo for example.

      1. Too slow? Is or was e.g. Lewandovski fast? Far from it. Is Harry Kane fast? Nope. Still somehow those two have scored literally hundreds and hundreds of goals. Pace isn’t everything in real-life. Maybe in video games, but who gives a **** about those?

    1. Both they are not that good especially pinamonti who he’s team is relegated for a reason and also Lucca decide not to join us so no to him too also he was clearly invisible when he was at Ajax so no. Zirkzee and En-Nesyri and Camarda

  4. Lucca, Pinamonti, Colombo, Nasti, Piccoli…….all italian and cheap options, why do we have to get yet another import from some mickey mouse league. Lucca especially would be a great alternative to Zirkzee and not expensive. Give Colombo a chance, the boy has potential and let’s see what Nasti can do, everyone is so quick to write off our italian and especially our homegrown talent.

    1. Piccoli nasti Colombo pinamonti lucca doesn’t have not even 10goals this season so why? Jonathan David Santiago Gimenez Joshua Zirkzee En-Nesyri Denkey Guirassy all of them have 10-15+ goals this year so they are way better than all of them you commented

      1. Why are you comparing them with starters from bigger clubs ? This is about a second striker. People were saying this about Scamacca too and were claiming that Origi is better then him cause he played in a bigger club, but look where is Origi now and where is Scamacca.

    2. Also I said Milan should try and trust Camarda for the future the others aren’t that good they will be another jovic the hardest they can reach is probably 10goals which isn’t enough for 1st not even 2nd ST
