Tuttosport: Milan may challenge Bayern and Liverpool for Juventus winger’s signature

AC Milan will assess several opportunities in the summer mercato, and they could be presented with a golden one, depending on the decision of Juventus’ next manager.

It has been an up-and-down season for Federico Chiesa, his quality is known, but it has rarely been shown this season. However, this can be attributed to the position he has had to play in Massimiliano Allegri’s side.

A winger by trade, Allegri opted to try the former Fiorentina man alongside Dusan Vlahovic in a two-striker formation, and whilst there were some nice elements to the duo, it also had many faults, which caused the Italian’s performances to drop.

Given the Old Lady’s finances are less than favourable, it could mean that a sale is required to help balance the books, and therefore, it should not be ruled out that Chiesa could depart the club in the upcoming mercato and Tuttosport (via Milan News) have suggested that Milan could pounce, after being interested in the player previously.

With a contract expiring in the summer of 2025 and a renewal not on the table currently, meetings will take place between the winger and the new Juventus coach – likely to be Thiago Motta – and his willingness to adjust to the former Bologna coach’s methods will be the deciding factor in his future.

If Motta gives the green light to his departure, the winger would be sold this summer, and Milan, alongside AS Roma, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are all potential suitors.
