Tuttosport: Milan consider January sale as disappointing winger attracts interest in Spain

By Isak Möller -

While some players have impressed thus far this season, further cementing their spot in the team, others have gone in the opposite direction. And with the January window coming up, there could be some movement.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), Samu Castillejo is one of these players. After a bright start in pre-season, the winger has failed to make any sort of impact in the ten appearances he has made – bar the assist to Rade Krunic against Celtic.

As a result of this, Milan are evaluating their options and a sale in January certainly isn’t out of the question. Alexis Saelemaekers is the first-choice for the right-wing and Jens Petter Hauge is also knocking on the door, hoping to get more minutes.

Castillejo has had inquiries from Spain, per the newspaper, and that seems to be the most likely destination for the former Villarreal man. There is still some time to go before January, though, so there is a slim chance for the winger.
