AC Milan are closing in on being able to announce the return of Tiemoue Bakayoko and he could even be available on Sunday, a report claims.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports how player’s knowledge of both the Italian league and the Rossoneri environment was fundamental in the decision to try and bring him back as an option for Stefano Pioli’s midfield.
Only a few details are missing and Bakayoko’s return to Milan will become official after two years away from the club, as a meeting yesterday between the player’s agents plus directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara produced yet more positive developments.
A loan with option to buy was agreed as the formula, and the figure of the buy-out clause is the last thing to agree before the Frenchman leaves the English capital in order to complete a move to Milan.
He could very well be available for the match against Cagliari too but the anti-Covid protocol may thwart this. If Bakayoko can have a relaxed quarantine – like Tammy Abraham had – then he could be on the bench against the Sardinians, otherwise he would have to wait a few days in more.
