Tuttosport: Milan could meet Pioli in next few weeks to discuss his future

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could hold talks with Stefano Pioli over the extension of his contract in the coming weeks, according to a report.

Pioli seems to have put everyone in agreement that he is the right man to take the club forward, from the fans to the management to the ownership, who all appreciate him from all points of view.

The fact remains that the coach has a contract that will run out next June, but the club actually have the option to unilaterally extend his deal by a year until 2023, which is seen as a sufficient guarantee for now, at least according to what La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how yesterday – for the first time in months – Pioli talked about his future with the Rossoneri during an interview.

“In my head the relationship I have created with the club, with my players and with the Milan environment does not expire. We have the same ambitions, the same desire to get the most out of every game,” he said,

This is a clear expression of wanting to stay beyond the end of the season and the paper reports how in the coming weeks, also in light of the results obtained, there could be discussions to talk about the extension of his contract.
