AC Milan could reignite their interest in Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer due to recent developments at the club, according to a report.
It is no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a long-term partner for captain Alessio Romagnoli, and Ajer is a name who continues to be linked.
It was expected that Ralf Rangnick would be arriving as Milan’s new manager once the season is over, but after Tuesday night’s win over Sassuolo it was confirmed that Stefano Pioli will be staying and has signed a new two-year deal.
According to Sunday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Celtic star Ajer is among the players that Milan have a keen and concrete interest in.
The Norwegian international was one of the names on Rangnick’s list, but could also be back in fashion among the two current directors, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, as they look for a young centre-back with high potential.
