Tuttosport: Milan could turn back to Begovic as Valencia press hard to sign Reina

By Oliver Fisher -

Pepe Reina’s return to AC Milan looks set to be short lived as Valencia are pushing hard to sign him, a report claims.

Work is in progress to give Pioli a squad almost ready for the beginning of preseason in less than one week, and among other areas the goalkeeping situation is one which needs some work.

According to Wednesday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Pepe Reina – having returned from his six-month loan at Aston Villa – is ready to head back out of the exit door.

He only has one year left on his contract at Milan and has next to no resale value due to his age, and Valencia are pushing hard to sign the Spaniard.

That would mean that Milan are in the market for a new deputy to Gianluigi Donnarumma, and the paper adds that the management could try to bring back Asmir Begovic from Bournemouth, who would be the No.2 with Antonio Donnarumma the No.3.
