Tuttosport: Milan set deadline for Bennacer’s potential Saudi transfer – the latest

Ismael Bennacer has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the last few or so and the fact that he was benched yesterday says a lot. However, according to a report, AC Milan have set a deadline for the potential transfer.

Due to the squad rules, Milan will have to sell one of their more prominent players to make an additional signing this summer. Selling Yacine Adli (seemingly close to Fiorentina) will not be enough, in other words, and that’s why Benbnacer has been linked with a move.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), a move remains possible but everything will depend on which club comes forward. Al-Shabab and Al-Qadsiah have expressed an interest but not more than that, and they also aren’t under the PIF umbrella.

Milan have set a deadline for the potential transfer, needing an offer by the middle of next week or they will take Bennacer off the market. The player is happy to stay, as has been made clear, but also to pack his bags if the offer is good enough for him as well as the Rossoneri.

Manu Kone is one of the players that has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Bennacer but as things stand, the Algerian will remain at the club.
