Andrea Conti is one of the players that are expected to leave AC Milan this month, having failed to make a single appearance for the club this season. Empoli have expressed their interest and a move is likely, by the looks of it.
The right-back arrived from Atalanta back in 2017 but his adventure with Milan never really took off, due to many serious injuries. It’s not exactly surprising, therefore, that the Rossoneri are trying to get him off the wage bill.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan are in negotiations with Empoli over Conti and a deal seems likely. The newspaper also states that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara could try to include one of their targets in the operation, namely centre-back Mattia Viti.
However, considering the talent of Viti, it’s unlikely that Empoli will agree to this unless there is a cash sum included. Perhaps, Milan could reach an understanding with the Tuscan side about a transfer in the summer for Viti.
