Tuttosport: Milan evaluating which striker to sign with three stand-out candidates

After missing out on Marcus Thuram who will soon complete a move to Inter, AC Milan are weighing up a number of alternative striker targets.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes this morning, there are three names that stand out above all as Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada aim to give Stefano Pioli an alternative to Olivier Giroud.

The first is Alvaro Morata, who knows Italy and Serie A well. He recently renewed his contract with Atletico Madrid at a salary of €8m net per season which would have to be renewed, but there is apparently a €20-22m release clause in it.

Gianluca Scamacca is the second name. He was held back by injuries in his first season at West Ham and would be sold by the Hammers, but they want €40m in order to consider a permanent exit. Furthermore, there is competition from Roma who are his preferred destination given he is a boyhood fan.

Finally, Lois Openda is a profile that meets all the requirements sought by Milan, but he has a fairly high cost. RC Lens have set the price at €40-50m given he scored 21 goals in 42 official games last season.
