Tuttosport: Fernando Redondo’s son on Milan’s list of midfield targets

AC Milan continue to be linked with a number of different targets for the midfield given Rade Krunic’s potential exit, and the latest idea comes from Argentina.

According to a report Tuttosport (via MilanPress), the Bologna duo Nicolas Dominguez and Jerdy Schouten are on the list of targets, but a player with a familiar surname has also alerted himself to the scouting department.

The paper claims that in Argentina many sources have talked about Milan joining the race for Federico Redondo, son of the great Fernando.

He is regarded as one of the top talents in South American football and is a natural regista, which the Rossoneri’s midfield arguably needs above all.

Standing at 1.80m tall, he is striking because of his elegance on the ball and for his leadership at a big club like Argentinos Juniors. His market value is around €4m, and for this reason Milan could make some enquiries.

  1. If he is 1/10th the player his dad was…

I couldn’t believe it when we signed Redondo, it’s absolutely crazy what happened next!

    1. We got his dad, after successful seasons at Madrid, got injured we couldn’t get any glimpse of him, the same with Rivaldo, R80, Ronaldo9, they’re all in the evenings of their careers

    2. 1/10th at the moment but if he becomes any where close to his Dad the Neville brothers will be shaking in their boots 😂

I was really disappointed when his father’s career was blighted by injury, his dad was one of the first player’s in footy that said that Milan did not have to pay his salary whilst he was injured.

If Federico has his father’s integrity and work ethic then we should not hesitate in bringing him in.

  2. My goodness……..what a player dad was!!!!!!!!! They are mentioning junior’s elegance on the ball……..LET’S KEEP OUR FINGERS CROSSED!!!!

  3. This is the sort of story i like to ear. His Dad was top class but injuries meant he never really got the chance to play for us much. Hopefully, with a bit of poetic justice, his son can change this.

Indeed. Would be an amazing story if he came and rewrote history.

  4. Well there was a rumour that City wanted him before they sign Perrone so maybe he can be solid but not right now in the future maybe but you go for Dominguez best deal rn so just sign him ASAP

  5. For 4M we should definitely sign him regardless of who else stays or leaves. Solid prospect for a small fee.

His dad was fantastic. Too bad he got hurt after we signed him and couldn’t see the real Redondo.
