Tuttosport: Milan hatch €25m plan for life without Calhanoglu – domino effect with Real Madrid

By Isak Möller -

Hakan Calhanoglu’s future at Milan is yet to be decided, to the point where the Turk could say goodbye in the coming months. The No.10’s contract will expire next summer and the Rossoneri are working on a renewal.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), though, the negotiations have hit a dead-end due to the high requests of Calhanoglu’s agent. Therefore, Milan have started to look around for potential alternatives, should the midfielder leave.

They could decide to invest in one or two players, with the likes of Brahim Diaz and Dominik Szoboszlai topping the list. Two players with different characteristics but united by the talent and a similar evaluation.

The Spaniard is on loan from Real Madrid and is satisfied with his experience with the Rossoneri. This could favour the latter in the negotiations with the Bernabeu side and the current price tag of the player is €25m.

It’s the same amount as Szoboszlai’s release clause, which could cause a domino effect on the market: Diaz to Milan and the Hungarian to Madrid.
