Tuttosport: Milan hatch plan as Eintracht and Fiorentina watch €40m winger’s progress

Eintracht Frankfurt and Fiorentina are watching Ante Rebic’s progress at AC Milan with great satisfaction, according to a report.

After struggling for game time up until the Christmas break, the Croatia international has been nothing short of a revelation. Just less than two months into 2020, he already has seven goals in all competitions, making him the club’s top scorer overall.

His future is still to be resolved though, as the 26-year-old arrived on a two-year loan deal from the Bundesliga side with striker Andre Silva going the other way on the same terms.

There has been plenty of talk about Milan looking to turn Rebic’s into a permanent one, and Tuttosport (via MilanNews) have offered an update in their Thursday edition.

The newspaper claims that the German club currently value Rebic at around €40m given his recent important to the Rossoneri, but €20m of that would go to Fiorentina, who are entitled to 50% on the future resale.

However, Milan have a plan: they hope to lower the cash outlay by inserting Andre Silva in the deal. The Portugal international has four goals and two assists in 14 league appearances for Frankfurt so far this season.
