Tuttosport: Milan have keen interest in €95m duo linked with Man Utd – Pioli knows them well

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are targeting two Fiorentina players that Stefano Pioli knows well from his time with La Viola, according to a report.

The Rossoneri are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window as Maldini and sporting director Ricky Massara look to give head coach Pioli a few pieces to complete the core of the squad that he has built.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara are planning the summer market, and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic likely to stay it appears that a winger is now the priority.

Federico Chiesa is the ideal profile for Milan as he is young, strong, flexible and still has ample room for growth. Obviously it won’t be easy to snatch him from Fiorentina who want €60m, and there have been links with Juventus and Manchester United, but Milan seem serious in their interest.

Meanwhile, centre-back Nikola Milenkovic is also a target as Milan look for a reliable option to rotate with Kjaer and Romagnoli. His name has long been at the top of the wish list, and Lucas Paquetà could be included to bring down the asking price.

Calciomercato reported last Thursday that Milan have been joined by Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United in the race to land Milenkovic, valued at €35m.
