Tuttosport: Milan have key ally in race to beat Arsenal to troubled €60m forward

By Oliver Fisher -

Milan interest in Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic is no secret, a report claims, and the club have hatched a plan to try and land him.

The Serbia international arrived at Real Madrid for €60million last summer from Eintracht Frankfurt but has had a torrid season so far, scoring only twice. However, there have also been rumours of rising tensions between Jovic and Real Madrid.

After violating the quarantine at the start of the lockdown, his latest photo posted on Instagram (and then removed) showed the 22-year-old outside a soccer field grilling with friends when he should have been resting.

According to the latest from Tuttosport (via MilanLive), the 22-year-old’s exit in the summer seems ‘fairly obvious’ and the paper reiterates that Milan are keen on Jovic, even if the right formula for the deal is still to be found.

An ally in this negotiation may be Fali Ramadani, the agent of the Serbian and also of another Milan man in Ante Rebic. He has excellent relations with the Rossoneri club and with Ralf Rangnick, the probable next manager of the Rossoneri.

Milan could offer a loan, perhaps a two-year one, with the option to buy – but the problem of salary also remains to be solved as Jovic earns about €10million gross per year. Finding an agreement will not be easy at all.

There is also competition, as Louis Girardi of PianetaMilan.it, reported Milan that Arsenal have already presented a hefty contract offer, worth €10m per year (including bonuses).
