The AC Milan management do not intend to make wholesale changes in any area this summer with continuity being the operative word.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan will start the 2021-22 season with a small advantage over their rivals who are getting to grips with revolutions, downsizing and big changes. For Milan, their strength will be having the same coach, same project and clear ideas – just like their rivals Atalanta will with Gian Piero Gasperini.
The position of Stefano Pioli has never been in doubt and the project has also remained the same: centred around young players and selected experiences players to give leadership. The ideas are very clear and there is great sense of unity and purpose, a factor that further helps the growth of the club.
Milan have shown that they mean business through the Gianluigi Donnarumma case after getting fed up with the pressure and hesitation, launching a counter-attack by signing the French goalkeeper Mike Maignan. The Diavolo, therefore, looks with optimism to the coming season.
