Hakan Calhanoglu’s contract will expire at the end of the season and he’s yet to reach an agreement with Milan on a renewal. Therefore, the Rossoneri have started to scan the market for potential replacements.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive), Milan have several names on their wish list. Josip Ilicic has been mentioned a lot lately as he seems destined to leave Atalanta, and he could perhaps leave for a low fee.
He’s 33-year-old, though, so it would be a gamble for the Rossoneri and that’s why the No.1 choice is Rodrigo De Paul. He has everything it takes to replace Calhanoglu, but Udinese are asking for €40m to part ways with him.
Another name is Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who will be a free agent in the summer as his contract with Roma will expire. Mino Raiola, his agent, has proposed him to Milan and it remains to be seen if they will result in anything.
