Tuttosport: Milan hit a wall in centre-back pursuit as Spurs and PSG stand firm

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not making much ground in their pursuit of a new central defender with Spurs and Paris Saint-Germain continuing to stand firm, a report claims.

According to what Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Milan have reached a wall in their search for a new central defender. The top two names on the wish list remain Japhet Tanganga of Tottenham and Abdou Diallo of PSG, but there continues to be no agreement on the formula for either.

The Rossoneri are asking both the Premier League and the Ligue 1 side for a loan with option to buy deal and while both clubs are open to a loan formula, they are currently insisting on that being an obligation so they collect some money next summer.

Whether either side softens their stance or if Milan decide to cede to the demands – or switch to alternative targets – remains to be seen.
