Tuttosport: Milan left irritated by demands as Camarda renewal stalls – the situation

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are frustrated by Francesco Camarda’s demands with talks around a contract renewal now stalling, as various clubs in Europe lie in waiting.

As reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri have grown tired of the situation and talks seem to be at a standstill for the time being.

It was presumed for a long time that Camarda would immediately sign a new deal with Milan when he turned 16 years old, but the situation dragged on for longer than expected.

Amid mixed reports, the club was feeling calm about the situation, but there is anger at how much money Camarda’s representatives are requesting for such a young and unproven player.

Camarda’s agent is the experienced Beppe Riso and his attitude has caused problems. There is a disagreement over the salary, the commissions, and the project. The club do not want to be held to ransom by the agent’s requests for such a young player.

The more time that passes, the more likely it is that the host of interested clubs make a move for Camarda who is not protected by the kind of contract that Milan would like.

The club certainly won’t give up on Camarda, but this is not the situation that anyone envisaged when he became the youngest Serie A player in history earlier this season.

  1. If they are asking for more than we are willing to pay, he can go elsewhere. Young and unproven. With this rate by the time he is 20 years old, he’ll ask more than mbappe. Good riddance.

  2. Bipolar writing of the media and reporting of Sempre Milan:

First there was an article saying Beppe and Camarda’s family demand hefty commissions hence the stalemate.

Then an announcement came out that nor Beppe or Camarda’s family are entitled to commissions and it would be illegal to earn it since Camarda is a minor.

    Now this again.

It’s all about the click, it doesn’t matter if its true as long as it sells.

    1. Clicks clicks clicks. It’s especially frustrating when I could tell an article is just put out to rile up the fanbase and generate reactions ie ad revenue., yet I take the bait 😔
I see they put a whole set of ads now in between people’s comments on the app I use. I get that they have to make money but, it’s overk!ll. It diminishes user experience.

  3. Ownership, which is at the top of the club, is a private hedge funds which only purpose is to make more and more money by any means necessary. But we are somehow shocked when players ask for money haha

  4. I for one won’t believe anything untill June 30th 2024, it’s an headline that grows like wildfire so the media is milking it aggressively.

  5. If this is true then I think it’s to be expected. You hype a kid and make him feel like he’s even on the same level as Patrick Cutrone or Lorenzo Lucca and you expect that it doesn’t get to his head. Anyway, football is no longer a sport where Man City can’t do without Oscar Bobb or Inter Miami being unable to cope without Drake Callander. There’ll always be a Maignan for every Donnarumma amd there’ll always be a Monaco willing to pay big money for a Pietro Pellegri. Everyone is entitled to chase money but I wonder the representatives of these individuals who supposedly have their best interest at heart.

  6. I was watching a prince boateng interview last week. He talked about how he went to spurs because of money and that it was a giant mistake. Highlighted that young players need to develop and prove themselves not run after money…

  7. Most of the time it’s not the players. It’s the agents and the hefty commissions they seek. Especially in the case of sought-after players like Camarda.

You have a salary ceiling? “We” will request above that and allow foreign clubs to come in bid and overpay. This would make for a nice commission.

Agents have become a viral infection in football.

  8. Football is a business. Who created the hype around the guy? Who paid them to churn out articles after articles screaming his stats? Now, his agents have been alleged to desire a huge commission. It boils down to what are Milan offering and how much do the agents want, it is not so hard is it.
When Milan decide they want him they should pay up, if not collect the compensation due for training him and move on.. no need for a smear campaign..

    1. Is it because Camarda not from France, that’s why you don’t want to pay him well.

Leao from France league. Theo and Giroud have high salary because France. Damn

  9. The next great Italian hope/hype at striker. There is a long list of many players who never lived up to it. The chances of this kid becoming the next great generational striker are slim to none. Based on the track record of Italian strikers it’s more likely he ends up being a Borriello than a Halland.

  10. Tuttosport just turin based media , this media pro to juve. It is illegal asking hefty comission for under age kid . Camarda need to prove himself first in milan B ( play on serie C next season ) or go on loan to other club italia ( serie A or B ) .
