Tuttosport: Milan and Juventus target Bologna raid amid Motta quit threat

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Juventus are both keeping tabs on Bologna’s midfield star Lewis Ferguson but any move in January seems unlikely due to a threat made by Thiago Motta, a report claims.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports that Juve have accelerated their pursuit of Ferguson, who is the ideal profile for what they are looking for and has joined a list of targets that includes Fabian Ruiz and Rodrigo De Paul.

However, it is difficult to imagine the Scotland international will be allowed to depart in January. Bologna are flying and do not want to give up one of their fundamental components, but at the same time the Milan have been following the boy for some time and had a scout at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Monday.

Teams from the Premier League are also courting the 24-year-old including Fulham and Nottingham Forest. Juventus have already contacted his agent reiterating their interest and their sporting director Giuntoli himself watched him in Bologna three weeks ago.

The player is valued at around €15m, however Thiago Motta has threatened Bologna to leave in the event of the sale of one of his key men in January, the newspaper writes.
