Despite the uncertainty of the current season, Milan have already started to evaluate profiles for the expected summer revolution. In recent months, their scouts have watched many players and the ideas aren’t lacking.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via Milanlive.it), the Rossoneri have added AZ Alkmaar captain Teun Koopmeiners on their radar. The 22-year-old has had an impressive season, leading his team to joint-first place in the Eredivisie.

Having been observed by Milan scouts for months now, chief scout Geoffrey Moncada is also an advocate of the potential signing. Furthermore, it’s a player that Ralf Rangnick likes a lot, as he wanted him at RB Leipzig in January.

Koopmeiners is the perfect profile for the San Siro side, showing great quality at a very young age. Furthermore, his price tag is affordable, as the Dutch side value him at around €15m. Per the newspaper, the salary request is about €2m per year.

However, Milan aren’t the only ones interested, with several clubs keeping tabs on the situation. Koopmeiners can play both in front of the defence and in a midfield tandem, while he’s also a sniper on penalties, having scored 14 out of 15 taken.
