Tuttosport: Milan want centre-back in January but Bournemouth set firm stance

AC Milan need some defensive cover in the January transfer window and they may find it tough to get their number one target Lloyd Kelly from Bournemouth, according to a report.

Marco Pellegrino will be back from a fractured foot in the new year but remains an inexperienced option, while Simon Kjaer can seemingly not put together a run of appearances without getting injury and Pierre Kalulu will miss another three months minimum.

That means the Milan management need to strengthen the squad with a new central defender and Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting that the name at the top of the list remains 25-year-old Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth.

However, the Cherries do not seem willing to let him leave mid-season and would even be willing to lose him on a free transfer in the summer, when his contract expires, rather than having to give up a key player in what is looking like being a relegation battle.
