Tuttosport: Milan and Man City both admirers of 19-year-old Boca Juniors talent

AC Milan seem to be in the market for a new left-back and they are watching a player in Argentina, a report claims, but they face big competitions.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) confirms rumours that first began in Argentina stating that Milan are keen on signing full-back Valentín Barco from Boca Juniors as a new deputy to Theo Hernandez.

Barco’s performances have attracted the attention of the Rossoneri scouts who are searching for the ideal profile to be Theo’s back-up, a search which has also led them to Juan Miranda of Real Betis as well.

Barco, however, has also entered the sights of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who may look to upgrade on Sergio Gomez. Therefore, if the Diavolo are really interested in the 19-year-old talent they will have to move in advance.

The teenager was included in The Guardian’s “Next Generation” list for 2021 showing that he is a talent that has been on the radar in Europe for some time.
