Tuttosport: Milan eyeing two left-backs ahead of possible January pursuit

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could decide to try and sign a new left-back during the January transfer window and two names stand out above all, according to a report.

With the departure of Fodé Ballo-Touré on deadline day and the lack of a real deputy for Theo Hernandez barring the young and inexperienced Davide Bartesaghi, the management may well act when the window reopens.

There were many names linked during the summer such as Riccardo Calafiori, Luca Pellegrini and Pasquale Mazzocchi, while the name of Juan Miranda continues to be mentioned.

According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), Bartesaghi’s growth could convince the staff to focus on him but a loan move might be deemed the best course of action given he is just 17 and ideally needs regular starts.

That is why Miranda could come back into fashion. The Spaniard’s contract expires in 2024 and talks with his entourage are constant. The second choice would be Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors but Manchester City are also keen.
