AC Milan were left to settle for another point in their Champions League group stage campaign as they returned from Dortmund with a 0-0 draw.
Both sides will feel like they had chances to win it, with Dortmund on top in the opening 45 minutes but with Olivier Giroud and Samuel Chukwueze missing golden opportunities in each half for the Rossoneri.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) published their player ratings this morning and praised the defensive duo of Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori who both earned a 7 out of 10 and were the best players for the Rossoneri.
In contrast with the other newspapers, they gave Rafael Leao a 5.5 and criticised his performance at the Signal Iduna Park: ‘When he starts, we know, he hurts and he is difficult to stop; the Rossoneri’s best opportunities arise from his inventions. It’s a shame, however, that he was absent for long stretches of the match’.
Olivier Giroud also failed and was listed as the worst among his team with a score of 4.5: ‘The opportunity that was missed in the 37th minute still screams revenge. And never mind if Theo annoys him: from two metres away it’s impossible not to hit the goal for someone like him’.
