Tuttosport: Milan player ratings for Salzburg draw – duo look bright but trio struggle

AC Milan were not at their free-flowing best in Austria against Red Bull Salzburg but still managed to battle back and get themselves a point to begin their Champions League group stage campaign.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has their player ratings for the game at the Red Bull Arena and they praised Alexis Saelemaekers for his performance and being in the right place at the right time to score the all-important equaliser, earning a 7 out of 10.

Rafael Leao also looked lively and dangerous but got a 6.5, while Pierre Kalulu and Sandro Tonali each got a 5.5 and were criticised for being left behind a bit by the pace of the goal, with the former being beaten for Okafor’s goal and the latter not being as precise as usual in the distribution phase.

There was a negative rating also for Giroud (5) who did not manage to follow up his derby goal with a similar impact, while all other players received a 6.
