Tuttosport: Milan player ratings for win over Genoa – one stand-out as seven are criticised

By Oliver Fisher -

Some AC Milan players drew praise for their performance against Genoa yesterday while some were criticised in Tuttosport’s player ratings.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) gave Simon Kjaer the title of man of the match and a score of 7 out of 10 for his performance at the back as the Dane was always attentive and made a miraculous block on the line to deny the score being 202.

A number of players were given a 6 including Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori, Franck Kessie, Alexis Saelemaekers, Ante Rebic and Mario Mandzukic. Diogo Dalot, Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer got a 5.5 as each appeared rusty and off the pace.

There were a number of players who did not get a favourable mark though as a 5 was given to Donnarumma (who made a bad mistake that nearly cost a goal), Brahim Diaz (too many mistakes) and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The lowest grade went to Rafael Leao who got a 4.5 out of 10 and who wasted another important opportunity that Pioli gave him.
