Tuttosport: Milan player ratings from Spezia win – attacking duo was excellent

By Isak Möller -

After the 2-0 loss last season, AC Milan were eager to get their revenge on Spezia yesterday and they succeeded. Daniel Maldini opened the scoring and after the home side equaliser, Brahim Diaz came on and scored the winner.

The goalscorers impressed but there was also another player that stepped up for the Rossoneri, namely Alexis Saelemaekers. Tuttosport (via MilanNews) gave him a 7/10 and named him as the man of the match.

Brahim Diaz got the same rating as his performance was excellent, although he didn’t have that many minutes on the pitch. Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori, Alessio Romagnoli, Rafael Leao and Daniel Maldini did well and all got 6.5.

Meanwhile, Mike Maignan, Davide Calabria, Theo Hernandez, Sandro Tonali, Pietro Pellegri and Ismael Bennacer passed the test at 6. Franck Kessie and Olivier Giroud weren’t great and got a 5.5, while Ante Rebic jammed completely and only got a 5.
