Tuttosport: Milan player ratings against Inter – Messias and Origi struggle

By Euan Burns -

Milan suffered their fifth defeat in a row in all competitions when they lost the Derby della Madonnina against Inter on Sunday night, leading to some tough reviews of the Rossoneri players.

In the ratings handed out by Tuttosport (via MilanPosts), the only player that came out of the match with anything resembling a good performance was Ciprian Tatarusanu who made a couple of useful saves. He was given a rating of 7.

The next best players for Stefano Pioli’s side were Pierre Kalulu (6) and Sandro Tonali (6), who tried in vain to move their team up the pitch as Inter applied the pressure.

The Milan attack struggled to make any impact on the game at all with Olivier Giroud (5) drawing a blank and Junior Messias (4.5) and Divock Origi (4.5) having no impact on the play.

The defence had an overall poor but not terrible game with Simon Kjaer receiving 5.5 and Davide Calabria, Matteo Gabbia and Theo Hernandez getting 5.

Rade Krunic also got a 5 in midfield, along with head coach Pioli.
