Tuttosport: Milan plot defensive revolution amid current crisis – Celtic star among four targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are heading towards a summer revolution in the defensive department and a potential crisis in the short-term, a report claims.

As Sunday’s edition of Tuttosport notes (via MilanNews), for the trip to Lecce Stefano Pioli will have only three central defenders available: Alessio Romagnoli, Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia.

Mateo Musacchio is out as he will undergo ankle surgery next week while Leo Duarte – after recovering from a fracture in the heel – is out again with a muscle problem.

Romagnoli is at risk of disqualification and will miss the game against Roma if he is booked against Lecce, while Simon Kjaer is the same. The situation, therefore, is far from reassuring.

In the summer a revolution of the defensive department is expected, with four players in particular being targeted by the Rossoneri leadership. The sights are Robin Koch from Freiburg, Melayro Bogarde from Hoffenheim, Kristoffer Ajer from Celtic and Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina.
