Tuttosport: Milan ponder swap deal involving Rafael Leao and Sassuolo starlet

By Isak Möller -

As Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to leave at the end of the season, AC Milan are scanning the market for a replacement, seemingly looking to add two strikers to their attacking department.

Just a few days ago, Pietro Balzano Prota of Radio Rossonera claimed on Twitter that the Rossoneri’s chief scout, Geoffrey Moncada, is a big fan of the Sassuolo-owned striker Gianluca Scamacca – who has scored 12 goals this season with Ascoli.

In fact, contacts are ongoing with his entourage over a potential summer move to the San Siro side. According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by Calciomercato.com, Milan could consider an alternate solution to land the 21-year-old.

Rafael Leao hasn’t had a successful season with the Rossoneri thus far and per the newspaper, he could be offered to Sassuolo in exchange for Scamacca. In other words, a straight swap between the two clubs that could be beneficial in the long run.

Personally wouldnt mind scamacca joining us as a backup but when that is said i have a hard time in believing this story to any extent and that regardless of that im also far from impressed by leaos stint with us. Leao was according to transfermarkt bought for 23mil + djiallo valued 5 mil and scamacca has had 1 decent season in serie b. Scamacca is valued 2.9 mil and maybe if he leaves sassuolo will leave for something in the vicinity of 15 mil or something so i doubt milan would take part in a straight swap with them as it simply sounds preposterous.
