Tuttosport: Milan prepared to be patient as Man Utd ask for €5m+ to loan defender out

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan appear in no rush to get Diogo Dalot back as they see him as an opportunity for late in the window, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) confirms that Dalot is one of Milan’s target in the current transfer market to strengthen the right side of the defence. The Portugal international was on loan last season, with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara working to try and make him available to Stefano Pioli again.

The negotiation is not easy because Manchester United do not want to let the player leave on loan again and would prefer a permanent sale. It is a situation that could drag on until the end of August, because United are hoping that Milan will change their offer or another team will come forward.

Milan have asked for Dalot on a dry loan for approximately €1.5m but the Premier League side want €5-6m to sanction another loan, which is a sum that the Rossoneri do not intend to pay. The parties will continue to negotiate, hoping that the will of the player will help the negotiation as he wants to return.
