Tuttosport: Milan could register a profit in 2022-23 for the first time in 15 years

AC Milan have been working to improve their accounts for some time now and the rewards are being reaped through the results, a report claims.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), Milan’s financial statement for the year – which will close on 30 June – could even turn out to produce a profit, something that hasn’t happened for 15 years.

The paper cites Calcio e Finanza who revealed that the half-year report for 2022-23 closed with a profit of €9.8m, giving continuity to what had been a positive trend in the first quarter, which even produced a profit of €22m.

In the first six months of 2022-23, the Rossoneri recorded €144m in revenues on the balance sheet. The largest item is that relating to television rights, equal to approximately €84.5m, while income from sponsorships amounted to approximately €17m and revenues from competitions amounted to €29.8m.

The trend is very positive for Milan as they look to now combine sporting results and improvement in on-field performances with the new found financial health.
