Tuttosport: Milan ready to go back in for Torino star Belotti – it depends on Ibrahimovic

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will renew their interest in signing Andrea Belotti from Torino if Zlatan Ibrahimovic decides not to renew, a report claims.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri pursued Belotti aggressively in the summer of 2017, and they could soon go back in for him. Three and a half years ago the Milan management – which at that moment under Chinese ownership – offered €60m plus counterparts for Belotti, but Urbano Cairo demanded €100m.

In the summer, a new attempt could be made. Obviously a lot will depend on what the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but if the Swede decides not to renew then Milan would be forced to look for a new starting centre-forward and a great option could be Belotti. The Granata captain, despite Torino’s bad season, is playing very well and seems ready to finally make the big leap to a top club.

It will be necessary to understand what Torino will ask for, but it should not be forgotten that his contract will expire on 30 June 2022. President Cairo will certainly shoot high initially, but with only one year from the expiry of his contract, the economic claims cannot be too high.
