Tuttosport: Milan ready to make important effort to keep Kessie – meeting scheduled for today

By Oliver Fisher -

An important meeting will take place today between the Milan management and the entourage of Franck Kessie over his renewal.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), agent George Atangana will meet in the afternoon with the Milan directors after the Ivorian declared that he wants to stay at the club for life.

An agreement over the extension of his current contract – expiring in 2022 – should be reached on the basis of a guaranteed commitment of €6m net per season. The economic effort from Milan will be important but necessary to keep one of the pillars of the team, and after letting Donnarumma and Calhanoglu leave for free, the Diavolo absolutely cannot afford to lose Kessie as well.

Today’s meeting with his agent will serve to try to reach an agreement that can make everyone happy, and then Kessie will come back from him Olympics commitment with the Ivory Coast to hopefully sign.
