Tuttosport: Milan schedule talks with Raiola over Romagnoli renewal – the situation

Coming on against Celtic, Alessio Romagnoli made his 200th appearance in all competitions for Milan. An important milestone for the team captain, who seems to be very happy at the club and unwilling to move.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, as cited by MilanLive, the Rossoneri management will soon meet Mino Raiola to discuss the defender’s contract. The current deal will expire in 2022 and they don’t want to wait until next summer.

Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are already talking with the Italian-Dutch agent about Gigio Donnarumma and have briefly touched on the Romagnoli subject. As the goalkeeper looks set to stay, there shouldn’t be any issues with the latter either.

Currently, Romagnoli earns €3.5m per season. Raiola will certainly ask for an increase and it will be necessary to see how much the club will be willing to raise the salary, seeing as the goal is to lower the overall wage bill.
