Tuttosport: Milan slowly progressing in talks with Man Utd and Barcelona over defensive duo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are moving forward slowly in their attempts to sign two new full-backs ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, according to a report.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how Milan want Diogo Dalot and Junior Firpo for the back-up right-back and left-back roles respectively. The management are talking to Manchester United to try and bring Dalot back, who has already made it known that he wants to stay with the Rossoneri.

For now the Red Devils are not open to a new loan, not even with an option to buy, but the talks will go forward slowly. The same goes for Firpo, who is seen by the club as the ideal deputy to Theo Hernandez. Milan would like him on loan with option to buy, but the Blaugrana aim to collect money from his sale given they paid €18m to sign him from fellow LaLiga side Real Betis.
