Tuttosport: Milan strike verbal agreement with striker ahead of free transfer next summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reached a verbal agreement with Andrea Belotti over a free transfer ahead of next summer, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Belotti has already decided to leave Turin once his contract expires at the end of the season, and the Rossoneri have been the team leading the race to sign him for a year now.

Talks have been on for some time and Milan have managed to strike an initial agreement with the player and his entourage over a prospective contract. The Italy international is also attracting the interest of Inter and Fiorentina, but his future seems to be already written.

The paper goes on to add that president Urbano Cairo will try to sell Belotti in January with the intention of earning at least €5m from the tale of the Granata captain, but Milan’s intention remains to land him on a free five years after they made a big bid for him in 2017.

  1. I don’t get what everyone sees in Belotti. He did nothing today. He reminds me of many other strikers that play on smaller teams and do well – Borrelli, Destro, Gilardino, etc…but cannot repeat the same in a big club. Has not stood out on the national level either. For me i would sign him in summer only if he’s free and only of it doesn’t prevent us from going after a more dynamic player like Vlahovic or even Icardi. Belotti is not going to solve our issues up front IMO
