Tuttosport: Milan third behind Inter and Juventus in terms of brand value – the figures

By Oliver Fisher -

Today’s edition of Tuttosport has drawn up a ranking of Serie A clubs, based on the current value of the respective brands.

The newspaper (via MilanLive) have taken into account a number of different factors such as the value of the playing squads, the economic revenues, results on the field and the number of fans throughout the country.

Milan are in third place on the list with a value of €503m, with a lot of that amount being down to their glorious history and the fact the club still boast many fans around the world.

In first place is obviously Juventus, who are up to €992million as they have won the league nine times in a row and continue to go from strength to strength as a brand. Inter are in second at €678m, mostly thanks to recent revenues from the Champions League.

It demonstrates how important a return to the Champions League is for Milan, and it is of course the main objective for Ivan Gazidis and the owners Elliott Management.

Financial growth of the brand, with new sponsorships and partnerships and good sporting results appear to be the perfect combination.
